ENOSIS is a user-friendly information system for combined transports, which accompanies the traveller/user from the moment of the search for a route and
the time of departure until the arrival at the final destination. It is the result of experience and research on algorithms for routing and managing traffic
routes.
COMBINATION OF URBAN and INTERURBAN TRANSPORTATION
The application for searching combined routes of the ENOSIS system, is the first Greek application that can find alternative routes between dozens of Greek
destinations combining:
- Flights
- Ferries
- Coaches &
- Urban transportation in the area of Athens
PERSONALISED INFORMATION
The reference point and innovation of the ENOSIS system is the identification of critical points in the lifecycle of a journey, starting from the moment of planning
the journey until its completion, and the corresponding to these information and services that can be distributed to make a trip easier, secure and
comfortable. The result is to provide mass information about the transportation hubs in the transport network (e.g. departures / arrivals timetables, possibility
of association with other transportation modes, etc.), but also personalised information about planned trips (e.g. route changes, scheduled time of departure
– arrival, etc.).
MULTIPLE WAYS OF ACCESS to INFORMATION
The customer service is achieved by multiple interfaces, including:
Web portal - voice portal - Information Kiosks - announcement displays
The project results and the general experience resulting from the project, is currently utilised in the European research project WISETRIP
(FP7 TPT-2007-RTD-213233), which provides travel information for multiple transport modes worldwide.
The application is currently into pilot operation at
www.wisetrip.travel, where you can search for information about routes
within Greece, United Kingdom, Italy, Finland and China.
